Wow! I can't believe that it's all over-this summer was so much fun and such a blessing to me. I hope the same for you and your family-especially your children!! For some of us tomorrow is a very important day and for others of us (including me) next Monday is very important: the first day of school!! YAY!!!

There are so many things I could say and I'm not sure where to start but I'm so thankful for being able to share summer memories with you!!

HELLO!!

what a crazy week: I feel like I haven't communicated with anyone this week. It was great to have a time of learning and sharing with GCA teachers though; and we are so excited for the upcoming school year! I hope that everyone has had a good week although we didn't go anywhere.

I'd also like to thank those who helped with Summer Rec while I was out.

oh yeah-one more thing! If you guys aren't busy Sunday night at 6:00PM my church (Crossroads Christian Church-NSB) is hosting at Community Puppet Show at Samsula Academy formerly Samsula Elementary. Hans-on Fun!

Friday was a great day for a trip to the Children's Museum! It was so fun to see how everyone reacted to the "hands-on" stations. From building racecars to making our own pizza there was something for everyone to enjoy!! We even had fun learning about the rotation of the earth!! I hope that you guys enjoy your weekend. I would like to give a great BIG thanks to the Zeh's for inviting us over for a wonderful afternoon of swimming: today I even had a few kids say that they "wished everyday was like yesterday" (the day we were swimming). Everything was great and the kids really enjoyed themselves! So THANK YOU!!!

We've also been busy finishing up our Summer Rec Scrapbooks-today they went home and I hope that you all enjoy them and that they will be a prat of your memories for a while. This summer has been such a blessing to me and I hope the same for every family. If you want pictures-just let me know.

Sun Splash Park

What a beautiful day for a trip to the beach!! Although we did not go to the "beach" we had a great time splashing in the fountains and playing on the playground and in the sand in Daytona. None of us could believe that our time ended so soon! (I even had a twin for the day!!) Have a great weekend and I'll see you guys Monday morning!

Scrapbooking is Fun!

With all of the pictures we've taken at Summer Rec we're making memories and all of the kids had an opportunity to make those memories special just for them-in the form of a scrapbook. We'll be finishing up our books next week and I think that we're all looking forward to it!

I hope that you enjoyed the pictures. Splashing, sliding, and swimming in the rain topped off our afternoon and everyone had a wonderful time!! Don't forget we'll need our bathing suits on Friday too!!

Gentlemen, Start Your Engines!!

I don't think anyone was disappointed with our trip to the Daytona 500 Experience! Our day was full of NASCAR fun. When we arrived we boarded the tram and headed to the track tour. The tour took us around the track, across the start/finish line, down pit road, and into Victory Lane!! After that we watched a 3-D movie, had lunch, played in the arcade, and walked around the muesum. Everyone had a great attitude! We ended the day with some reading for the Caterpillar Club and games inside due to rain.

Thursday Miss Bryd will be with the kids and I'll be back Friday: on Friday everyone should bring a teddy bear or other stuffed animal for Teddy Bear Picnic Day!!

Let's Go Cubs, Let's Go!!!

We had such a good time at Jackie Robinson Stadium today. We were able to cheer on the Cubs, do the YMCA and chicken dance, and best of all meet Cubby!! I think that everyone had a really good time although we experienced a rain delay which kind of put a damper on things for a while-it quickly passed and they finished the game! The Cubs lost but in all it was a fun day!

Remember tomorrow we head to the Daytona 500 eXperience! Everyone needs to remember their water bottle and afternoon snack. Have a great night and I'll see you in the morning!!
